Ebike Instructions

E-bike Storage

  1. If you plan to store your bike for an extended period, occasionally turn on the power to keep the electrical components in good condition.
  2. Electric bike components are sensitive to extreme temperatures. Store the bike in a cool, dry place away from high humidity.
  3. A garage or outdoor shed can be a good storage option depending on where you live and the available space. The ideal storage temperature is between 32º and 68º Fahrenheit.
  4. Storing an e-bike outdoors is not recommended, as corrosion and degradation are nearly inevitable. A bike cover is only a temporary shield and cannot fully protect the bike from weather elements during long-term storage.
  5. While storing the bike in a garage or shed may help keep it dry in the winter, high humidity is the biggest enemy of electric bikes and their components. Humidity can lead to rust and corrosion.
  6. To prevent such issues, consider investing in a bike cover for extra protection, especially if your garage or shed is still susceptible to environmental factors.
